Class of 57 Class Reunion


Minutes of reunion committee.


   1.     Welcome:

Bob McLean welcomed everyone

    2.    Present:

Bob McLean (Chair), Kevin Dell, Peter Robinson and Tony  McGowan. .

 3.     Apologies:

Peter Macnamara, Ewen Chamberlain and Anne Marie Robinson

 4.     Minutes:

Minutes of the meeting held on 7 July were confirmed.

 5.      Matters arising from last Minutes:

Nil  

 6.      Agenda was tabled by the Chairman:

Bob also reported that Bill Cochrane and John Bewley were both presently in hospital. The Invercargill Organizing Committee wish both Bill and John a speedy recovery.

 7.     Agenda:

        Financial Report

Kevin Dell confirmed that $650 was in the bank account for seven registrations. There has been no expenditure.   

Registrations

Kevin indicated that he had received deposits for 13 persons plus a registration without a deposit. In addition a further six have indicated that would be coming and it was anticipated that a further 11 would eventuate from the local committee. Therefore the position appeared at this time to be 17 pupils plus 14 partners.

Method of expediting registrations

It was agreed that the best method of expediting the completion of registrations was for the local Committee members to make contact with the listed people and that wherever possible this should be by way of phone contact. The lists were then allocated.

Entertainment

Kevin Dell confirmed that he was working on this and was looking for a guitar player amongst the participants.

Bob indicated that he had access to some DVD films that would be suitable.

8.      Miscellaneous:

It was agreed that there was little point proceeding further with matters of organization until the level of attendance was resolved. Accordingly it was agreed that a meeting in two weeks time would allow the individual approaches to be reported back.
